Welcome to Toronto! Our centre is located at the impressive Keele campus of York University, the third-largest university in Canada.
There are some great facilities on campus, such as indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a swimming pool and ball fields, and the centre of Toronto is only a 30-minute metro ride away.

Day programme available: Always starting on a Monday including tuition, activities and lunch. No accommodation included. Contact us for more information.

✓ Apartment-style single/twin rooms with en-suite (2 separate bathrooms in the apartment). Bathroom ratio of 1:3. Located in Calumet student residence
✓ Communal space on most dormitory floor
✓ Room furniture includes a wardrobe, desk and chair
✓ Bathrooms are cleaned daily
✓ Linen changed weekly
✓ Laundry available in residence building for a small fee
✓ Meals are served in a large self-service dining hall or in the university food court

The programme includes several half-day trips and 1 full-day excursion every week, as well as on-site activities in between lessons. All activities are designed to continue the learning in a fun and enjoyable way, encouraging students to develop life skills and make new friends through sport, activities and socially interactive games

Activities
Sports:
With a choice of football, mini Olympics, volleyball and basketball.

Drama: Drama and performance activities, such as drama workshops and scavenger hunts.

Evening: Activities such as karaoke, a talent show, team games and Downtown by night tours.

Half-Day Trips
Our students get to explore exciting places in and around Toronto such as Ontario Science Center, Casa Loma, High Park, Royal Ontario Museum and Kensington Market.  

Full-Day Excursions
Downtown Toronto: explore downtown Toronto and visit the CN Tower.
Toronto Island: explore the island and enjoy a nice picnic
Toronto Botanical Gardens: enjoy 17 beautiful gardens and lovely environment.

We offer additional optional activities/excursions in the centre as well.

The classroom is at the heart of your Toronto Junior English Course. English Lessons are student-centred and encourage the development of relevant language skills.

  • Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
  • 20 x 45 minute lessons per week each morning
  • Placement test on day 1 to ensure students in appropriate level
  • Maximum 17 students per class
  • Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
  • Classrooms are standard style
  • Classrooms are located on York University campus
  • Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
  • Materials included as well as an end of course report and certificate

Meals: Meals served in a large self-service canteen or in the food court on campus.

 

Breakfast

  • Both cooked and continental which might include pancakes, eggs, juice, coffee and toast.

Lunch

  • Two courses, 3 options including a vegetarian option.
    Packed lunches (provided at weekends): water, fruit, sandwich, crisps and biscuits/cake

Evening Meal

  • Two courses, 3 options including a vegetarian and halal option.

Snacks

Vending machines, coffees shops and a shopping mall are located in the campus for drinks and confectionery.

Meals served in large self-service dining hall in residence building or in the university food court.
