Welcome to Boston! Our centre is located on the beautiful campus of the prestigious Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts only 20 minutes from downtown historic Boston. Fantastic campus facilities include a modern sports hall, indoor swimming pool and running track with a recreational field, outdoor tennis courts and additional outdoor space as well as spacious common areas in our residence halls. The beautiful villages of New England, dramatic coastlines, popular beaches and the attractions of Boston are all within easy reach.

Activities and excursions are scheduled every afternoon and evening, with full-day excursions at the weekend. All activities are designed to continue the learning in a fun and enjoyable way, encouraging students to develop life skills and make new friends through sport, activities and socially interactive games.
Activities
Sports: With possible choices of football, mini-Olympics, rounders, tennis, volleyball, basketball, swimming and arts & crafts.
Drama and performance activities, such as drama workshops and scavenger hunts.
Evening activities: such as karaoke, talent show, and team games.
Half-day trips:
Our students get to explore exciting places in and around Boston such as Harvard University, MIT University, the New England Aquarium and Massachusetts State House.
Full-Day Excursions*
Charles River Walk: View the Boston skyline from the Charles River and visit the Museum of Science.
Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market:
Students go shopping at this historic marketplace including a visit to Downtown Crossing and Chinatown.
Old and New Boston:
A visit to the USS Constitution Ship and the Institute of Contemporary Art.
Downtown Boston: Includes a visit to Boston Public Library, Copley Square and the Prudential Building and great shopping!
*Students will be provided with a complimentary Charlie Card which will cover all transportation and excursions for the week.
The classroom is at the heart of your Boston Junior English Course. English Lessons are student-centred and encourage the development of relevant language skills.
- Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
- 20 x 45 minute lessons per week each morning
- Placement test on day 1 to ensure students in appropriate level
- Approximately 17 students per class
- Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
- Classrooms are standard style
- Classrooms are located at Tufts University campus
- Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
- Materials included as well as an end of course report

Meals:
- Meals served in a large self-service canteen in Dewick-McPhie Dining Hall located a quick 2 minute walk from the residential hall.
Breakfast
- Cooked and continental which might include pancakes, eggs, juice, coffee, toast, cereal, fruit.
Lunch
- Two courses, 3 options including a vegetarian option.
- Packed lunches: may be provided on some activities. A sample packaged lunch could be: a bottled water, fruit, sandwich and crisps.
Evening Meal
- Three courses, 3 options including a vegetarian and halal option.
Snacks
- Vending machines located near the residence buildings for drinks and confectionery.
Classrooms: Standard classrooms located on campus.
Sports Facilities: Baseball field, basketball and tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and outdoor areas for games and activities.
Common Room: Shared common area in each flat.
Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi throughout the campus and in bedrooms.
