A gorgeous city bursting with cosmopolitan charm, Montreal is the place for students looking to be surrounded by creativity, breath-taking scenery, and loads of things to see and do. Montreal is a bilingual city, so students can choose to study English or French here! Studying at a local College, in the city centre students can choose to stay in a Homestay or at the Grey Nuns Residence, located at Concordia University, in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of downtown Montreal.

The majority of our students stay in a local family to experience the true Canadian culture and way of life. Families are on average located 45-minutes with local traffic from school.

· Students stay in single rooms and share bathroom with the homestay. Twin/triple rooms are available upon request if students are travelling together

· All rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe/storage, desk and chair. If a desk is not available in the bedroom, it will be provided in another room in the house

· Rooms are cleaned weekly

· Bed linen and a towel are included and changed every week

· Laundry is done weekly by the homestay

· Wi-Fi is available 

· All meals are provided by the homestay with packed lunches

Residence Accommodation

Students are staying at the Grey Nuns residence, which is a student residence part of Concordia University. It's a beautiful heritage building located in the heart of downtown Montreal.

· Residence option is only available for groups

· Standard twin rooms with shared bathrooms

· All rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk. chair, washbasin and mini-fridge. 

· Rooms are cleaned weekly

· Bed linen and a towel are included and changed every week

· Laundry is available and free of charge

· Common spaces are available where students can socialise

· Melas are served in the on-site canteen, students get packed lunches to bring with them to school

· Wi-Fi is available 

Activities an Excursions

Activities are organised in between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site, near the centre/school or around the city of Montreal. All activities are designed to continue the learning in a fun and enjoyable way, encouraging you to develop life skills and make new friends through sport, activities and socially interactive games.

Activities
Sports: With a choice of football, rock climbing, volleyball, ice skating, jet boating and mini-golf.

Cultural activities such as drama workshops, museum visits and science centre

Evening activities such as Jazz festival, Shakespeare in the park and Underground city tour.

Full-Day Excursions
Ottawa: On this trip, students will see Rideau Hall – a beautiful grounds and the official residence of the Governor-General of Canada. They will be able to see over 100 ceremonial trees planted by politicians and dignitaries from all around the world. After that, students will have a walking tour of Ottawa. They will visit the outside of the majestic Parliament buildings, The Rideau Canal, The Famous Ottawa Spider, and finally The Byward Market.

Quebec City: On this trip, students will see the beautiful Montmorency Falls and the romantic, historic City of Quebec. Montmorency Falls is the tallest waterfall in the province of Quebec. Students will be impressed by the grand expanses of nature that typify Quebec. Students will enjoy an hour-long walking tour of the upper and lower cities of Quebec. They will hear about the history of this city and see the Murals, The Dufferin Terrasse, the famous cannonball, La Petite Champlain, The St-Lawrence River, and of course, the World-Famous Chateau Frontenac. Students will get to see history, beauty and culture all in one day!

English Programme

Montreal is a bilingual city where students have the opportunity to study either English or French.

· Lessons are taught by friendly and professional English or French teachers.

· 20 x 45 minute lessons per week, morning or afternoon.

· Placement test on day 1 to ensure students are in a class of the appropriate level

· Maximum 15 students per class.

· Standard classrooms.

· Course material is included.

· Curriculum with an emphasis on communication skills.

Classrooms: Standard classrooms located in a local college

Sports Facilities: There is a nearby park for games and activities

Meals: All meals are served in the homestay or at the Grey Nuns residence, all students have packed lunches
