Our centre is one of the only London campuses to be completely self-contained. Situated by the waterfront in the historic Royal Docks with views of the iconic London Skyline at the University of East London Docklands Campus. London’s Royal Docks introduced a new world of commerce to the capital in the 1880’s and drew produce and people from all corners of the world.

Our centre provides a modern, well-equipped learning environment, with modern lecture theatres and classrooms. There’s also easy access to the Elizabeth Line, meaning you can be in the centre of London within 20 minutes!

  • Several residence buildings with single en-suite rooms arranged in flats of 4 to 6 students
  • Each flat has got a communal room
  • Room furniture includes a wardrobe, desk and chair
  • Rooms and common rooms are cleaned weekly
  • Laundry available, cleaning is £2.40 per wash and drying is £1.00 per cycle
  • Meals are served in a large dining hall
  • Wi-Fi throughout accommodation
  • A deposit of £30 is required upon arrival, replacement of lost room key is £180
  • Two DLR train stations are located on the campus and take students straight into London in 30 minutes

Breakfast

Continental including juice, coffee, toast, cereal and fruit – hot breakfast on Fridays.

 

Lunch

A minimum of 2 options available, including a vegetarian option.

 

Packed lunches

(provided at weekends): water, fruit, sandwich, crisps and biscuits/cake.

 

Dinner

A minimum of 2 options available, including a vegetarian option.

 

Snacks

There are several cafés on campus for the purchase of snacks, drinks and confectionery.

Whilst delivering bespoke lesson materials, the Embassy lesson is designed to engage students in discussion, to develop the key life skills of collaboration and intercultural communication, and to provide extensive opportunities to practice and build on current language.

17 students per class and classes suitable for students of all levels.

20 x 45 mins in UK, US and Canada

15 x 60 mins in Malta

All learning resources provided are age appropriate and all students receive an end of course certificate of attendance.

Arrival

Students will be welcomed upon arrival at East Building where they will register and get their room keys and can check-in to their rooms.

 

Welcome

On the first evening there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet staff and other students and get to know more about the campus, its facilities and useful information which will help them during their stay.

 

Activities

Activities are organised in between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre. These may include:

  • Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball and basketball
  • Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops
  • Evening activities such as karaoke, talent show, and team games

Half-Day Trips

Our students get to explore exciting places around London every weekday, they visit places such as The British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, Oxford street shopping and The National Gallery



Full-Day Excursions

Brighton: Enjoy this vibrant and popular seaside resort with beautiful architecture and a visit to the Sea Life Centre.

Canterbury: Visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most visited cities in the UK. Marvel at the gothic architecture of Canterbury Cathedral and medieval buildings.

Cambridge: Explore this iconic university city, famous for its renowned colleges and visit King's College. 

3 Week Sample Programmes

Each 21 night stay will include a total of 15 local accompanied visits to London with visits/activities and 3 full-day excursions to other major cities such as Cambridge, Brighton and Canterbury. Transport for trips may be by private coach or public transport.
