Living
Dormitories
- Standard dorm rooms with triple or double rooms.
- Dormitories have a bathroom ratio of 1:6
- Bathrooms are cleaned by weekly.
Apartments
- Apartment rooms with double rooms.
- Both room types have a shared bathroom ratio of 1:4
- Each room is furnished with a chest of drawers, closet space, and a desk.
- Laundry available in the residence (at a small fee). High-speed internet throughout.
- Communal lounges on each floor of the residence building
- Deposit of $100 required upon arrival, replacement of lost room key $100
- Students are responsible to keep their rooms clean and tidy.
- Common areas are cleaned daily and linen changed weekly.
- Towels provided.
- Meals are served in on-site canteen, with packed lunches for excursions.
- Convenience store, basketball court, volleyball court, and soccer field are available
Programme
Arrival
Students will be welcomed upon arrival at Rieber Hall, where they will register, get their room keys, and check in to their rooms.
Welcome
The opening evening will feature a warm welcome event, thoughtfully planned to facilitate student interaction with both faculty and fellow peers, providing an avenue to acquaint themselves with the campus, its amenities, and indispensable insights that will enhance their entire stay
Activities
Activities are organised on evenings and afternoons with full-day excursions on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. On Sundays, students can choose between an optional — not prepaid — excursion or on-site activities. Onsite activities may include:
- Sports such as tennis, basketball, and soccer
- Drama and performance activities such as karaoke night and talent shows
- Evening activities such as arts and crafts and casino night

Six Flags:
Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled escape at Six Flags, where heart-pounding roller coasters, electrifying attractions, and non-stop thrills combine to create the ultimate playground for adventure seekers of all ages.
Learning
- Taught by friendly and professional English teachers
- 20 x 45 minute lessons per week
- Placement test on day 1 to ensure students are classed at an appropriate level
- Maximum 17 students per class
- When possible, students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
- Common spaces are used as classrooms
- Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills

If a student needs medical attention, an Embassy Summer staff member will help make an appointment. Group leaders must accompany the student to the appointment. An Embassy Summer staff member will accompany any student that is not part of a group. All costs have to be paid by the student. Students must have written consent from their parent/guardian for any medical treatment to be administered. Students must provide proof of medical insurance prior to arrival.

Extra
Each 14-night stay includes 3 full-day excursions to exciting places around Los Angeles such as Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Downtown LA, visiting places of interest in each location. Transport for trips may be by private coach or public transport. Students may have lessons either in the morning or in the afternoon in week 1, alternating weekly after that.
