  • Activity leader

    Position Summary:

    Activity Leaders are at the forefront of delivering a successful activity programme, providing instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure, and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

    · Ensure the activities and excursions operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding practices.

    · Manage and instruct during onsite activities sessions which enable the development of students’ Life Skills.

    · Manage and lead offsite excursions which enable the development of students’ Life Skills.

    · Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations.

    Education Required:

    · Educated to A-Level or equivalent.

    Experience Required:

    · No prior work experience is required for the role of activity leader however we do look for candidates with a lot of common sense and great communication skills. We provide the necessary training to carry out the role effectively.

  • Academic Administrator

    Academic Administrators report to the Directors of Studies. Their role is to carry out the administrative tasks of the Academic Department promptly and accurately.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Ensuring the smooth running of the academic department.

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students with whom you come into contact.

    · Maximise student and Group leader satisfaction by dealing with logistical queries.

     

    Specific Responsibilities:

    Under the direction of the DoS

    · Monitoring and checking attendance.

    · Collating test results.

    · Assigning students to classes and communicating class allocation.

    · Assigning teachers to classes.

    · Printing certificates.

    · Ensures teachers rooms are stocked with required resources.

    · Check technology in classrooms, if required.

    · And other administration duties as they arise.

     

    Education Required:

    · To have excellent Excel and other Microsoft Office skills

     

    Education Desired:

    · Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework)

     

    Personal Attributes:

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    · Excellent organisational and planning skills

    · Excellent IT skills (especially Excel)

    · Ability to work under pressure

  • Activity Manager

    The Activity Manager is responsible for the organisation and delivery of a high-quality activity and excursion programme for students, which includes inspiring; training and managing Activity Leaders to achieve this goal. In addition, they also are responsible for the safe delivery and coordination of all logistics necessary for both onsite and off-site activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

    · Manage, lead, and inspire the activity team to deliver the activity programme.

    · Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their excursion and onsite activity experiences meets their expectations.

    · To ensure the activities operate to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding.

    · Ensure cost-effective planning of the excursion and activity programme in consultation with Centre Manager and the supporting Programme Manager

    · Responsible for all administration relating to activities.

     

    Education Desired:

    · Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards

     

    Training Desired:

    · Safeguarding Level 1 and 2

    · First Aid Certificate

     

    Experience Required:

    · Management experience

  • Centre Manager

    The Centre Manager inspires, motivates, and leads an entire school of staff, leaders, and students.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

    · Manage, lead, and inspire a team of colleagues dedicated to students’ development and welfare.

    · Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations.

    · Ensure the centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding.

    · Ensure the programme runs within the pre-determined budgets in consultation with the supporting Programme Manager or Head Office teams.

    · Overseeing the submission of all centre administration.

    · Provide regular centre updates to the supporting Programme Manager.

     

    Education desired:

    · Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards

     

    Additional qualifications desired:

    · Safeguarding Level 1 and 2

    Experience required:

    · Management experience

  • Director of Studies

    The Director of Studies reports to the Centre Manager. They are responsible for all aspects of the academic department including learner management, teacher support and development and operational processes, to ensure the smooth delivery of the Embassy Summer learning experience.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

    · Maximising student and Group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations.

    · Supporting, monitoring, and developing teachers to ensure that they deliver the Embassy Summer lesson.

    · Ensuring students are inducted, placed, and have a positive learning environment and receive their certificate upon their departure.

    · Liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the overall Embassy Summer experience.

     

    Education Required:

    · Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework)

    · DELTA, Trinity Lic. Diploma in TESOL (Level 6/7 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework)

    · Or MA in ELT / TESOL (if they meet the validation, entry requirements, teaching practice and input criteria)

     

    Experience Required:

    · 3 years’ teaching experience

    · Some evidence of supporting and developing teachers (e.g., through mentoring programmes, delivering workshops, or observing teachers).

  • EFL Teacher

    Teachers facilitate the development of the Life Skills and Academic Skills of the students’ by engaging the students in conversation and providing feedback that helps them develop their communicative skills.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

    · Teaching the Embassy Summer lesson

    · Delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to actively participate.

    · Providing feedback that facilitates the development of communication skills.

    · Maximising student satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations.

    · Playing an active role in the development of student’s life skills throughout their Embassy Summer experience

     

    Education Required:

    · To have completed or be studying a level 6 qualification or above (eg Degree level)

    · To have completed a TEFL course (min 120 hours input)

    · To complete a 4-hour summer teaching induction

  • Transfer Representative

    Transfer Representatives are at the forefront of students’ first experience with Embassy Summer, greeting them on arrival and always ensuring their safe transfer when under Embassy Summer care, either on arrival or departure as required.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom you are responsible for and with whom you meet

    · Maximise student and Group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations

    · To maintain levels of student discipline, safety, and welfare

    · To assist in day-to-day general duties

    · To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people

    · To be present at ports to assist with student transfers

    · Ensuring the safe and efficient check-in of departing students

    · Chaperoning unaccompanied minors until airline staff take over responsibility for them

    · Ensuring your personal transfer phone is kept on your person and attended during all working hours

    · To remain calm, composed, and proactive when dealing with unexpected or difficult situations/people

    · To liaise with transport providers and centres to ensure the smooth running of transfers

    · To be on hand to assist the Transfers Management team with any issues that may arise

     

    Education required:

    · Educated to A-Level or equivalent

     

    Experience required:

    · Working with minors

    · Customer service experience

  • Welfare Manager

    The Welfare Manager at our centres plays a pivotal role in creating a safe and healthy environment for students, Group leaders, and staff. Acting as the main contact for Welfare, Safeguarding, and administration, they oversee rooming allocations, compliance with regulations, and stakeholder relations.

     

    Key responsibilities:

    · Promoting

    · Safeguarding the welfare of all individuals

    · Ensuring the well-being of individual students

    · Ensuring accurate meal provision numbers

    · Implementing Health and Safety systems

    · Supporting in administrative tasks

    · Managing departure logistics

    · Contributing to the overall satisfaction of students and staff

     

    Education desired.

    · Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards

     

    Experience Desired:

    · Experience working with under-18s

    · Management experience

     

    Experience Required:

    · Experience working with juniors

    · Experience in a role involving organisation or hospitality

    · A high degree of IT competency- Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel)
