Looking after our students

Embassy provides a high standard of care and supervision to all students.

What we provide

  • A Welfare Officer in each centre, who is responsible for making sure you are happy and well cared-for throughout your stay.
  • A Guardian system is put in place for our individual students in our junior centres.
  • On-site staff trained in First Aid
  • Links with local doctors, dentists and hospitals
  • Junior students are supervised by staff at all times in residential programmes.
  • Students are issued with an ID card
  • An emergency telephone number, open 24 hours every day.

Arrival in the country

  • Students are met at the airport on arrival, and are taken back to the airport at the end of their stay (for all students who have requested a transfer).
  • All students under the age of 18, who are travelling to or from a centre, must be accompanied by an adult.
  • For students aged 18 or over, or who are travelling with a parent or guardian, Embassy will provide information and directions on how to reach the centre.
  • Students are provided with a hot or packed meal (depending on the time of day) when they arrive at their accommodation.

During your stay

  • Students are given an ID card which includes important telephone numbers. Students must bring a passport-sized photograph with them, to put on their ID card.
  • Residential students are supervised by staff at all times.
  • Students under the age of 18 are not permitted to leave the centre unaccompanied at any time. This does not apply in our adult (16 + ) centres.
  • All students under the age of 18 should be aware that it is compulsory to attend all lessons and activities.

 Insurance for travel and medical

  • It is essential that all students travelling abroad must have adequate insurance in case of a medical or other emergency.
  • Embassy offers a comprehensive insurance policy called StudyCare which is specifically designed to meet the needs of international students. Download the StudyCare policy information.
  • For more details about insurance, speak to your agent or - for people booking online - to your Student Enrolment Advisor.

Medical conditions

  • It is very important that you tell us in advance about any medical or psychiatric conditions for which you are being treated. This is for the safety of all students and so that we can provide proper care.
  • Embassy reserves the right to refuse enrolments from students who we feel will not be able to participate fully in our programmes.
  • Students who do not properly notify us of a condition may be excluded from the programme.
