Located in fashionable Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, Occidental College has been one of the USA's highest ranking liberal arts schools for over 20 years.

The campus has Mediterranean-style buildings, beautiful grounds and even an outdoor amphitheatre.

At this summer school you'll enjoy excellent sports facilities and a friendly college community whilst having all the attractions of Los Angeles just minutes away.

Accommodation

At Occidental you’ll experience traditional dormitory-style halls of residence. Rooms are shared, most are twin but there are also a few triples. Bathroom facilities are also shared.

There is a central lounge, with television, drinks machine and snack machines, which is a great environment for relaxing with friends.

Security: There is 24-hour security on site. Anyone with an emergency during the night should call the centre mobile number which will be given to all students on arrival.

Facilities

• Sports facilities: Outdoor swimming pool, baseball field and basketball courts.
• Dining Hall: Called "The Marketplace" this food court offers a wide choice, from hot main meals, a vegetarian option, all-you-can-eat style buffet with soups, salads, fruits and desserts.
• Common room: All are smoke free with wireless internet access.
• Launderette:These are available in the residence. There is no cost for using these facilities.
• Email & internet: As well as wireless internet, there is a computer room in the residence, available to students during designated hours.
• Campus shops: The campus bookstore sells books, postcards and other campus essentials.
