Welcome to Embassy Gatton Park

Our centre is located at Royal Alexandra and Albert boarding school in a charming, rural setting about an hour’s drive from central London. All students have access to excellent facilities at the centre such as a sports hall, an indoor swimming pool and a tennis court.

Centre Facilities

  • Classrooms: Modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards
  • Sports facilities: Tennis course, sports hall, swimming pool, basketball court, performing arts centre and extensive grounds for activities
  • Meals: Meals are provided in a large self-service dining hall
  • Common room: Each boarding house has a common room with TV, DVD and an array of games such as Table Tennis and Pool
  • Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is available across the campus and a computer suite is available for students in the evenings

Academic and Social Programme

  • Taught by qualified English teachers
  • 20 x 45 lessons per week each morning or afternoon
  • Placement test on day 1 to ensure students are in their appropriate level
  • Maximum 15 students per class
  • Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
  • Modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards, located throughout the campus
  • Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
  • Materials included

Activities are organised in between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre.

These may include:

  • Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball and basketball
  • Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops
  • Evening activities such as drama performances, talent shows and team games
Our local half-day trips take students to places of interest such as Kew Gardens, Windsor Castle and Rochester Cathedral

Full-day excursions from Gatton Park include:

London: visit this exciting capital city and take a walking tour of Westminster or along the South Bank and visit the Tate Modern
Brighton: vibrant and historic seaside city where students can take in the fun of Brighton Pier, visit the impressive Royal Pavilion and enjoy great shopping in the popular Lanes area
Oxford: explore this iconic University city and its famous colleges and visit the Ashmolean Museum; home to famous drawings, paintings and archaeological treasures

Accommodation

Students stay in dormitory rooms of 2 to 7 beds in boarding houses.

  • Dormitory rooms of 2 to 7 beds in boarding houses
  • Shared bathroom ratio of around 1:5 students
  • A limited number of two adjoining single rooms with en-suite
  • Communal lounges in each boarding house
  • Room furniture includes a wardrobe, desk and chair
  • Rooms cleaned weekly
  • Linen changed weekly
  • Laundry available in all boarding houses
  • Computer suite available in the evenings
