Welcome to Embassy Brighton

Brighton is a popular seaside city with beautiful Georgian architecture, great beaches, hip cafés and trendy shops. Known as ‘London by the sea’, Brighton is a multi-cultural city that welcomes students of all nationalities in a warm and friendly way. Our centre is located on the campus of the well-known University of Sussex, only a short bus or train journey from the city centre.

Academic and Social Programme

  • Taught by qualified English teachers
  • 20 x 45 minute lessons per week morning or afternoon
  • Placement test on day 1 to ensure students in appropriate level
  • Maximum 15 students per class
  • Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
  • Modern equipped classrooms, many with interactive whiteboards
  • Classrooms are located in the Fulton Building
  • Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
  • Materials included

Activities are organised every evening and when not in lessons or on trips or local visits. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre.

These may include:

  • Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball and basketball
  • Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops
  • Evening activities such as karaoke, talent show, and team games
Local visits such as Brighton Pier, the Lanes, and Hever Castle Excursions

Accommodation

Students mostly stay in single en-suite rooms, or standard single rooms with a shared bathroom ratio of around 1:6 students.

  • Flats of 4 to 6 rooms
  • Room furniture includes a wardrobe, desk and chair
  • Rooms cleaned weekly
  • Linen changed weekly
  • Laundry available in each residence area
  • Meals served in the on-site canteen
  • Wi-Fi throughout
