Our Hastings summer school gives students an opportunity of experiencing a year-round Embassy Study Centre. You’ll feel like part of a family as you get to know all the teachers by first name.
The centre is in the attractive historic building in the Saint Leonards area of Hastings, whilst nearby you can find the beach, shops, historic buildings, parks, amusements and new modern art gallery.
Accommodation
Homestay (host family)
Live with a host family in Hastings and learn about the local way of life. Living with native English-speakers will help you to continuously improve your language skills during your stay.
All of our families are monitored and vetted. Breakfast and evening meals will be provided by the family and lunch will be taken at the centre. Packed lunches will be provided for any trips. The family will also provide laundry service each week.

- Classrooms: Sixteen classrooms with interactive whiteboards which aid students learning.
- Computer room: With free use of computer for all students. Relax with friends in the games room and student lounge.
- Dining Hall: There is a cafeteria in the school serving a range of hot meals, including a vegetarian option, snack and beverages.
- Email: Free wireless internet access available throughout the campus.

- Oxford: Home to England's oldest university, you'll enjoy exploring Oxford's grand buildings, containing museums, shops and colleges.

- Greenwich Observatory & River Thames: Greenwich played a major role in the history of astronomy, exploration by sea and measurement of world time.
- Tower of London: Originally built by William the Conqueror (the invader king who won the Battle of Hastings in 1066) for centuries after this palace, with its prison tower was the place of many royal executions.
- Thorpe Park: A leading theme park offering over thirty extreme rides and attractions.
- Windsor Castle: Visit the Queen’s favourite weekend home. The oldest, and largest, inhabited castle in the world.
